The Mountain Area Pregnancy Center is located at 27884 Meadow Dr. We seek to help women & families who face unplanned pregnancy. We offer free, self-administered pregnancy tests, peer counseling regarding options, and a fully stocked Mother’s Closet. Items in the Mother’s Closet are free to our clients and serve as a resale shop to the community.
For more than 20 years, the Mountain Area Pregnancy Center has served women and families experiencing an unplanned pregnancy. We provide self administered pregnancy tests and peer counseling regarding abortion alternatives and adoption referrals. We also refer to different agencies in the community such as ECHO and MRC for other needs such as medical care, WIC and other social services that may be needed. Those needing help can come in at any time fill out a small application. There are no geographic limits or financial requirements in order to become a client. We ask our active clients to come in 2X month for mentoring sessions which is a DVD based curriculum targeted to prenatal clients through clients with toddlers. Mother’s Closet is stocked with maternity clothing and a variety of infant items, such as diapers, clothing and furniture. Clients can shop in the Mother’s Closet for free. The Mother’s Closet is also open to the community as a resale shop. We have maternity clothing through children’s clothing size 5. Donations are welcome for almost any baby related item!
Other services offered by MAPC include abstinence training WAIT classes and pre-natal classes. The Mother’s Closet is open Mon, Wed, and Thurs 10-4 and the administrative office is open Mon-Thurs 9-4. We are located on Meadow Drive in Evergreen across from DaKind soup in the building adjacent to The Place.
