Growing National Exhibit Benefits Mountain-Area School Art Programs
Evergreen Fine Art Gallery is proud to host the 2nd Annual Weekend in the West Art Show and Sale. This growing national exhibit features 60 well-known artists and sculptors from across the country.
Festivities will begin with a Western-Style art opening and reception on Friday, August 24, 2012, 5pm-8pm. On Saturday, August 25, featured artists will participate in a Quick-Draw in the Sculpture Garden followed by a Champagne Brunch and Live Auction, a ticketed event, 9am-1pm.
A very special part of the event will be “The Masters of Today and Tomorrow," featuring work from local elementary school students and professional artists, which will be converted to china plates to be available for sale and auction. Through our partnership with Center for the Arts Evergreen, the event will benefit Art Education and Art Appreciation in our local mountain area schools. Last year this project allowed Center for the Arts Evergreen to award a portion of the proceeds to eight area art teachers from K-12.
“Southwest Art Magazine is thrilled to be a sponsor of the Weekend in the West Show and Sale presented by Evergreen Fine Art. The event brings talented artists from across the country together to enjoy the beauty of the Rocky Mountains in all their summer splendor. The artwork they present to you, the art-lover and collector, spans a variety of styles and subjects so that there is truly something for everyone. Moreover, your patronage helps to support the future of art education right here in mountain-area school districts. So we hope you will enjoy the weekend and come back again next year!”
