JustAroundHere.com is the latest show of Linda Kirkpatrick’s passion for her community.

She may be remembered for publishing the popular print publication Upbeat during the 1990s, promoting nonprofits and encouraging volunteerism in the Evergreen community.  She’s back at it – encouraging civic engagement and civility in 2010.

Among her list of credits are such things as work on the successful efforts to preserve Noble Meadow, Buchanan Park, and Stagecoach Park from development; co-founding Leadership Evergreen; and coordinating the construction of the ambulance barn in the 1980s.  She was Executive Director of the Mountain Area Land Trust and has served on the boards of numerous nonprofit organizations in the area.

Linda is the recipient of several awards for her efforts, including the Minoru Yasui Community Volunteer Award (1985), the Evergreen Community Service Award (1991), and Small Business of the Year (1995).  She was named one of Jeffco’s 150 Most Contributing Citizens in the book Jefferson County, Colorado, A Unique & Eventful History!
