Evergreen Music Festival a full day of top-notch entertainment

Written by Linda Kirkpatrick on .

The Evergreen Music Festival keeps getting better and better every year!  With music for every age group, the entertainment was non-stop – under the big tent and while groups were setting up and tearing down, there was music under the PandoraJohnProperties tent playing to the lawn crowd.

The Evergreen Chorale partnered with the Thomas Dance Project and the Sukara Guitar Duo for a choral and classical and ballet presentation.  Franny & The Jets performed jazz standards.  The Sakura Guitar Duo presented classical guitar, and Circus No. 9 played progressive bluegrass.

Subject2Change played soft rock.  The Queen City Jazz Band performed 50s jazz and 23 Skidoo dancers wowed the crowd with an exhibition of the Lindy Hop.

Liat provided folk/edge entertainment.  Joe Bye and Friends played high-energy acoustic rock, and the Hazel Miller Band capped off the evening with rhythm and blues.

It was heard over and over again throughout the crowd, "This is the best year ever!"
