Written by Matt Robbins on .

The namesake of the historic Boettcher Mansion on Lookout Mountain, Charles Boettcher, left a legacy in the Denver and Golden area for people to enjoy for years after his death. Summer 2017 marks 100 years of the historic estate’s existence in the foothills. Jefferson County invites the public to a special festival to celebrate this important milestone.

The event takes place Thursday, July 27, 2017, 4:00 to 8:00 pm,
at 900 Colorow Road, Golden 80401

This family-friendly event has free admission and attendees will enjoy nature-themed games for kids from the Lookout Mountain Nature Center, hikes in the nature preserve, food trucks, brews from the local Little Machine Brewery, Top 40 hits performed by the local band Renewed and other activities.

While at the festival, the Boettcher Mansion and the Lookout Mountain Nature Center will be open for visitors and tours, with the Nature Center debuting new exhibits. Carpooling to this event is encouraged.
