Literary Festival announces lineup of authors, ticket sales

The Rocky Mountain Literary Festival celebrates its third year with a fresh and varied collection of outstanding, award-winning authors.

This year RMLF is excited to welcome Kevin Fedarko – The Emerald Mile (non-fiction); Scott Gibson – Stopping by Earth (fiction); Judith Ryan Hendricks – Baker’s Blues (fiction); Ausma Zehanat Khan – Among the Ruins (mystery); Melanie Crowder – Audacity (fiction – young readers).

The Festival will again host monthly Book Talks at HearthFire Books and Treats in Bergen Park., the third Wednesday of each month leading up to the Festival. A RMLF volunteer will lead discussions of each book, encouraging those in attendance to offer their reflections of the works. The featured works are available at HearthFire and participants are encouraged to read ahead, enriching their experience at the Festival.

Baker’s Blues by Judith Ryan Hendricks - Wednesday, July 19

The Emerald Mile by Kevin Fedarko - Wednesday, August 16

Among the Ruins by Ausma Zehanat Khan - Wednesday, September 13

Tickets to the RMLF include continental breakfast, author presentations, lunch, and best of all, opportunities to personally meet the authors. The event takes place Saturday, October 21, 2017 Mount Vernon Country Club 9:00 am - 3:00 pm.

Since its founding, a portion of RMLF proceeds benefit Bootstraps, Scholarships and Loans - to be used to fund scholarships for mountain-area graduating high school seniors. To date RMLF has supported six students in their endeavor to attend college.
