In 2014 Evergreen Rotary and Mountain Foothills Rotary pulled together to offer the first Thanksgiving luncheon for seniors, starting a tradition that has continued.  The first year it was held at Church of the Hills, and in 2015 it was at the Lake House.  This year Christ the King Catholic Church played host on Thursday, November 17th.

That first year about 80 seniors took part.  This year Rotarians planned for 200.  Mimi Nelson of Evergreen Rotary coordinates volunteers from both groups in the preparation of 15 or more turkeys, stuffing, mashed potatoes and gravy, vegetables, and pies for dessert.

Hans Sinkovec entertained with tunes on the accordion.
