To showcase what the area has to offer in the way of building and gardening services, a couple of individuals started the Mountain Area Home & Garden Show.  Theresa Kahler and Ron Catterson envisioned a home and garden show that would not only exhibit the goods and services available locally but also generate funds that would be donated back to the community.

Channeling proceeds through the Conifer and Evergreen Rotary Foundations, more than $150,000 has already been donated to local nonprofit organizations in the first seven years.

Snowy weather on Saturday and Sunday (April 30th and May 1st) proved inviting for people to turn out for the show.
