100 Holes of Golf an occasion for breaking the rules

Written by Staff Editor on .

Seventeen groups hit golf balls around the Evergreen Golf Course to raise money for their respective organizations last week.  The annual 100 Holes of Golf – now in its 5th year – gives community organizations (and people raising money for organizations at a distance) the opportunity to solicit pledges to sponsor a golfer.  Golfers do anything and everything to get the ball into the hole, hardly following the rules of the game or for acceptable dress or decorum on the course!

"The 2017 100 Holes of Golf fundraiser featured 16 charities who raised $32,522," said event chair Woody Hancock. "This means the event has raised over $290,000 during it's 5 year history."

The event is sponsored by Evergreen Rotary.
