There's a new organization forming called 100 Women Who Care ~ Jeffco.  Co-founders Joannie Barth, Diane Davies, Pattie Kawakami, and Jacci Jay would like to invite you to be part of a new and exciting organization, designed to make a substantial impact in our community!

The organizations is patterned after a similar group in Illinois (www.100wwcnaperville.com) which has donated more than $80,000 over the past four years to support non-profits in their area. We’re looking for women who share a strong desire to make a significant difference, with very minimal time requirement. Member commitment to this organization would be limited to quarterly meetings, involving just one hour of your time and a donation of $100 each meeting (for a total of $400 per year). Our funds are combined to create generous donations for our neighborhood non-profits.

The group will meet just once every three months, on the second Tuesday, from 7 – 8 pm. During the meeting, three members are randomly chosen to introduce their designated cause, which must be a local 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (or national charity with an active local group). Members will vote to decide which group will receive the group contribution. Each member writes a check for $100, directly to the selected organization. One hundred percent of all funds received from our members will be delivered to the charity, as a tax-deductible contribution. There are no operating costs or other expenses for our group. Also, a representative from the recipient organization will be invited to attend the next quarterly meeting and give a report on how the funds were put to use.

The co-founders have a goal of finding at least 100 committed members. One hundred women joining together will provide $10,000 of support each quarter to a non-profit in the Jeffco community. Not only will we be helping our community as we donate funds, but we will also be meeting new friends and neighbors as we gather to learn about a variety of charitable organizations enhancing our community.

The quicker we meet our goal of finding 100 committed members, the sooner we will be able to collectively make a huge difference - to the tune of $40,000 a year! The first meeting will be held on Tuesday, May 14th, 2013, from 7:00 – 8:00 pm at the training facility for the Alpine Rescue Team: 28802 Rainbow Hill Rd, Golden, CO 80401 Future meetings will be held on the second Tuesday of August, November, February and May.
