Evergreen Public Library
Try Your Luck Starting Aug. 1 JCPL's new Lucky Day collection will hit the shelves Aug. 1. This is your chance to skip the holds queue and get the latest bestsellers right away. These books cannot be placed on hold and will be available on a first come, first served basis. The check-out times will be the same as all other materials.
Try your luck by stopping in your local library to see what's available!
Construction at JCPL Two projects are taking place in August that will impact patrons of the Arvada and Evergreen Libraries.
Work will begin in late July to install a new automated materials sorter at the Arvada Library. We'll need to close the drive-up book drop periodically throughout the month of August and you may need to use the drop at the library's entrance. Additionally, the Arvada Library will be closed Tuesday, Aug. 21 for construction. Watch for updates at the Arvada Library.
The Evergreen Library parking lot and book drop will be closed overnight in late August (date to be determined) so we can seal the parking lot. Watch for updates at the Evergreen Library.

Saturday at the Movies 1:30 p.m. Aug. 18 - Mr. Popper’s Penguins (PG) - Tickets are required and available one week in advance.
For Teens
Origami 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8 Learn new origami designs and talk about books you love as you get ready for the new school year.

Selling Your Stuff Online - 1-3 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4 Learn where and what you can sell online, associated fees, and general selling and shipping guidelines.
Wednesday Night Book Group 6 p.m. Aug. 8 Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston
Free Downloadable Books and More from Your Library - 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 19 - Participants will learn how to use JCPL’s downloadable eBooks, audiobooks, and music. This class will explain different electronic formats and discuss downloading items to Nooks, Kindles, iPads, and other devices. Register online at http://bit.ly/OCDpEs.
