Cathy Jones
Cathy Jones is one who shows an incredible amount of energy and commitment to the community – especially the arts community in Evergreen. She's a dynamo! When she is working for your cause or organization, you have a powerhouse on your side.
Cathy is a local artist whose works are displayed at The Evergreen Gallery on Main Street. She is particularly appreciated by the Center for the Arts Board members and staff because she has actively encouraged her artist friends to donate high-quality artwork for silent auctions for the past several years.
She is sweet and deceptively easy-going, but there is a steely resolve in her requests, and she comes through with great pieces of art that bring enthusiastic bidding at the CAE fundraisers.
She also serves on the Curatorial Committee for the CAE and volunteers many hours to bringing a well-rounded arts program to the community. She can often be found a few days before a new event helping to hang pictures at the Center. In addition, she teaches art classes, and one of her art students described her this way: "Cathy is like a coach, a champion for the arts."
Congratulations, Cathy Jones!
