Wendy's Manager Clay Takara

Clay Takara is the general manager of the Wendy’s in Evergreen and is being honored here because of his leadership and organizational qualities, and the message he gives to his employees, especially those still attending high school.

When Clay determines that a student is a good fit for a position at Wendy’s, he requires that applicant to bring at least one parent in for a joint meeting – with Clay and the student.  He explains that his first interest is the student’s continued progress in his or her education. He makes sure the parent is aware of the amount of time required from the student; and he makes it very clear that, if the parent has any concerns as work progresses, parents are always free to contact Clay.

Clay tries to be flexible about schedules when necessary. He will do his best to make sure the students keep their educational priorities in full focus, while still receiving income and valuable lessons in the work world. His employees are friendly, warm and efficient.
