Meet Brad Myers

Brad Myers has a love for horses and a deep concern for his fellow military veterans.

Brad is a deeply committed former marine – except he would probably tell you, once a marine, always a marine! He has spearheaded an innovative and meaningful way to meld these two interests together for the benefit of veterans in the mountain community and throughout the United States. Brad founded Operation Silver Spurs in 2008, a unique non-profit program to enrich the lives of veterans and their families through the magical interaction and healing power of horses.

Operation Silver Spurs uses horses to teach veterans returning from service about managing stress and dealing with physical injuries and/or Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD). Many of the people who volunteer at this program are also veterans and there are others who volunteer because of a deep desire to give back to the men and women who have given so much for our country.

Brad lives in Conifer and also offers additional programs such as his Wisdom of the Horse Leadership Program in this area and varied regions of the country.
