Bob Cardwell

(1954- )

Relocated to Evergreen in 1989 from Minnesota. Bob’s vision and his work as the president of Evergreen Land Community Coalition (ELCC) were ultimately responsible for the preservation of Buchanan Park. The 65-acre park in North Evergreen was purchased by the community for active recreation and community use.

Bob was a board member of the Mountain Area Land Trust from 2000-2010, serving as the president from 2009-2010, where he was instrumental in conserving thousands of acres of land permanently. Though he has been involved in many aspects of the commercial real estate industry, he is devoted to land conservation.

He spent a year coordinating as a volunteer the renovation of a building to house Mt. Evans Home Health and Hospice.

He serves on the Downtown Evergreen Economic District.

His skills at consensus building have helped to create harmony throughout prominent segments of the non-profit community in Evergreen.
