Getting your annual family picture taken for Christmas by Wendy Schott is a tradition for many of us who live in Evergreen whether it's the entire family or just the kids with Santa and Mrs. Claus.
Wendy has been chronicling the lives of Evergreen residents for 17 years. She often finds herself taking senior portraits for students who 12 years earlier marked their entrance into kindergarten with a more casual photography session. However, she also specializes in the more trendy, innovative senior pictures that have become so popular in recent years.
She first earned a reputation with her whimsical black-and-white photography of children. More recently, she's teamed up with a makeup artist to offer glamour shots of women. Wendy’s ability to help even the most reluctant or nervous individual to relax coupled with her years of photographic experience ensure a successful experience for everyone involved.
Wendy described her goal for each of her photographic assignments, “I strive to create a beautiful photograph; a piece of art that is magical and allows the viewer to remember that particular point in their life and in the lives of their family members.”
Almost 80% of her work is done on location rather than in her studio and she is often challenged by the vagaries of Evergreen weather. However, she loves living and working in Evergreen and is a frequent contributor to various nonprofit organizations.
