Meet Patty DeLucas
Patty DeLucas' passion for planning and preparedness stems from a positive childhood and upbringing. As a Girl Scout, she was taught to be resourceful and persistent. It was this consistency that kept her moving forward when she canoed to Canada at 13 years old. Just as that feat took balance and proper planning, it is a genuine sense of balance that shines through as she shares herself and her experiences with me.
A balanced life is a continued quest for Patty. It’s no surprise that she’s a numbers girl. After graduating from CSU with a degree in Accounting, Patty moved to Denver, became licensed as a CPA (not currently in public practice) and began her financial career in Healthcare Finance. Her services as a Medicare Auditor, Manager with a Big Four CPA firm, and VP of Finance for Colorado organizations ingrained in her the importance of both physical and financial health.
For over a decade, Patty has helped clients address their specific financial concerns to enjoy a clear path to lifelong financial security. As a Financial Advisor with the Certified Financial Planner TM professional, or CFP® designation at Wells Fargo Advisors, LLC here in Evergreen, Patty is committed to helping her clients learn how to make their money work smarter and does so with a true sense of integrity. Her ability to see the bigger picture, with a positive and trustworthy spirit, makes her a great choice to help formulate a plan.
Patty believes that once you are set with your finances, you are freed up to concentrate on the more important things in life like family, career, and health. She finds great pleasure in helping others plan for success so that they too can live a balanced life “If you don’t feel extremely confident that you are doing everything necessary today to secure your family’s future, come talk to me,” Patty invites.
It’s apparent that Patty practices what she preaches. When not crunching numbers with her clients, Patty loves to ski and bike. She and her husband Ken can be spotted on weekly bike rides, something that Patty enjoys, because it gives her the needed opportunity to clear her head. When not on the trails, Patty is hard at work, putting together the details for her next hosted event, typically dinner parties with family and friends. She’s wired to plan and organize, and when great food and wonderful people are involved, she is in her element.”
For Patty, part of living a prosperous life includes family. Patty and Ken proudly make time for their two adult sons and daughter from their 34 years of marriage. “My family is emotionally close,” shares Patty, “we enjoy putting our hearts and souls into how we live each day.” Ken and her two sons are currently working on a fixer-upper rental in Golden, a project that has brought them all even closer.
Coordinating and providing for the business community is also a personal passion for Patty. She is currently the Board of Directors Chair Elect for the Evergreen Area Chamber of Commerce, and will take the helm for 2016. She serves on the Ambassador Committee and is committed to growing the visibility of the Chamber within the community. She is pleased to bring her skill sets to the Chamber and enjoys demonstrating its ability to deliver value and provide support.
Though her immediate goals are to continue to grow her business and be the go-to for those needing financial guidance, she also hopes one day to achieve her long-term goal of becoming a Master Gardener. With the dedication that Patty gives to helping others increase their lives, it is extremely likely that whatever Patty sets her mind to growing will be plentiful and prosperous.
