Meet Andy Wann
Andy Wann is a successful real estate broker at Intero Real Estate Services of Evergreen who specializes in residential sales. In addition to his considerable professional expertise and experience, at least part of his success in this community is likely to be attributable to the thorough knowledge he has about our community, and the passion he exudes in describing the wonders of the Evergreen mountain community.
A few minutes of conversation with Andy would convince almost anyone to consider moving here! Andy, like many of us, loves Evergreen, but his appreciation and pride in our community goes especially deep. When asked why he chose to settle in Evergreen and make it the hub of his professional life, he states that he “loves the look of wonderment on the faces of clients the first time they visit this wonderful, magical place.”
He was elected to serve on the Board of Directors of the Mountain Metro Association of Realtors. This organization is devoted to maintaining high ethical and professional standards for realtors and also provides support to various community activities in our town.
Andy himself is a big part of making Evergreen a place where, to use his own words, “there is a sense of brotherhood and sisterhood among the residents.”
He is actively involved in many nonprofit and community activities including serving as an Ambassador for the Evergreen Chamber of Commerce. A Chamber Ambassador welcomes new businesses into our community and serves as a mentor to those people just joining the Chamber. Andy helps these folks make a successful entre into our community from a business perspective and shares his wealth of knowledge and business acumen with these new folks. One of his favorite aspects in his role as Ambassador is to organize and participate in the various Chamber ribbon-cutting ceremonies for new businesses up here. He must do a very good job in this role because last year he was chosen the 2010 Ambassador of the Year for the Evergreen Chamber.
Andy has a lot of other projects he gets involved with in our community. He is an elder in the First Baptist Church of Evergreen and very involved in their HELP program. He is also a long time member of the Evergreen American Legion and is particularly interested in the work of the local Evergreen Elks Club which does fund raisers to provides services for children in need.
One of Andy’s favorite community service activities is Snow Dodgers, which is an organization which has been taking children skiing for over 50 years. It is a nine-week program that starts each January. Many of the children are from the Clear Creek area, but it has expanded to include children in Evergreen and other parts of Jeffco. Snow Dodgers partners with Loveland Ski Resort to provide kids with an opportunity to learn about skiing and develop their abilities in the sport with adult guidance. Andy currently serves as Vice President of Snow Dodgers.
Andy has been married to his wife, Barbara Wann, for 18 years. She is a CPA and works at Simonson and Associates here in Evergreen. They are both equally proud of each of their two children, Tommy who is 14 and received the Kiwanis Student of the Year Award last year at Clear Creek Middle School, and Anna, a 12-year-old student at King Murphy in the Gifted and Talented Program and an awesome basketball player.
Andy, it is great to have you as a dedicated member of our community.
