Meet Dean Dalvit
Dean Dalvit is not only the founding principal of EV Studios, but he is also an avid volunteer and supporter of our mountain community. Although his path to success was not always easy, Dean’s extensive knowledge in engineering and architecture allowed – and is still allowing – his business to blossom.
In only seven years, Dean has managed to develop an architectural engineering firm and implement projects throughout the United States and Canada from family homes to life care centers. While impressive, creating a successful and prosperous business was also challenging. As Dean began, he spent about 80 hours per week working with staff to develop EV Studios; when the economic recession began, they worked at making it more versatile, focusing their growth in many different directions. Because of EV Studios’ broad area of expertise, they find themselves competing globally.
Dean and his staff in Colorado and Texas work feverously to design beautiful, yet functional spaces. In the process, one of the most important aspects of EV Studios is their desire and implementation of creating environmentally friendly designs. Under Dean’s direction, EV Studios is responsible for constructing the only LEED Building in Evergreen, the Evergreen Terraces Office Buildings. A LEED Building is a third-party certification program and the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of high-performance green buildings. Dean and his staff have worked on numerous projects in Evergreen area, but are expanding to all corners of the United States as well as working on some international projects.
Dean, being a Colorado native, has always had a love for Evergreen and its rich culture. His love for the area grew from his friends and family during his youth, and his plan in life always included a home in Evergreen. His sense of community, love for the outdoors, and passion for his job, has helped him make a difference with his volunteer work. He prefers not to call it volunteering, believing that if you are passionate or interested in something, volunteering is really like a club that you would have joined in high school.
With his deep emotional connection to Evergreen, comes his passionate desire to preserve and continue the traditions of our small town. As well as being apart of the Evergreen Chamber and Evergreen Downtown Business Association, Dean has also founded an organization called D.E.E.D (Downtown Evergreen Economic District) with the concern of maintaining the “magic and infrastructure” of Evergreen. Throughout Dean’s 15 years in the Evergreen, he has affected the community as both a volunteer and a successful business owner. Dean lives in Evergreen with his two kids and wife. He believes family is one of the most important things in life and he is a volunteer for his son’s little-league team any chance he gets. As well as being a successful business owner, dad, husband, and volunteer, Dean is also a part of a band, Open Space. Dean embraces every part of being a member of Evergreen’s community.
