Carolyn Campbell celebrated as Arts Person of the Year

Written by Linda Kirkpatrick on .

Seldom does one run across an artist whose creativity is as diverse as that of Carolyn Campbell, whose time in Evergreen has been highlighted by writing poetry, books and a play, complete with her own original music and libretto; oil painting; and teaching classes in poetry and creative writing.

On Saturday, October 15th at El Rancho Brewing, Center for the Arts Evergreen put together An Evening in Paradise: A Tropical Escape to honor her as Art Person of the Year.

The event was colorful, just as Carolyn Campbell is colorful in all she does and has done.  Her abstract paintings reflect a Latino influence in a whimsical way.  Her writings are colorfully written.  Her life has been anything but dull.  Read a profile on Carolyn written specifically for JustAroundHere.com by clicking here.
