Chuck Hazelrigg obituary

Charles Hazelrigg, formerly of Evergreen, died November 17, 2016 at the age of 83. He is survived by his wife, Luanne, and three daughters, Lynn Hetterich, Nancy Hazelrigg and Amy Burkholder.

Chuck and Luanne – along with Ruth and Bob Hershberger – were co-founders of Bootstraps in 1979.  He served on the advisory board when Evergreen Ambulance Service conducted a community-wide campaign to build a facility in the early 1980s.  He was a driving force behind the successful Save Noble Meadow effort in 1995 and served on the board for the Denver Museum of Natural History (aka Museum of Nature and Science) for many years, three as the Chairman of the Board.

Chuck's professional life was in banking, serving as COO and CEO of United Banks of Colorado before retiring.

A memorial service will be held in his honor on Friday, Dec. 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Montview Church, 1980 Dahlia, Denver, CO 80220.
